How old were you when you started playing golf: My parents bought me my first real golf clubs when I was three years old. It was a junior Fearless Golf set.

Who inspired your interest in the game: My dad.
Your golf idol? Jordan Spieth.
Favourite course ever played? Simola.
A funny moment you won’t forget? When I was about seven years old we played at Umhlali and my dad was helping me with my alignment, but was standing in front of me, while doing so. When I hit the ball it came of the toe and hit him in the stomach. He turned around and I thought he was hurt, but then he laughed and said it was his own fault, because he has always told me never to stand infront of another player. He had a nice shiner on his stomach for a few days … hahahaha.
How often do you practice and what’s your practice routine? I practice four times a week on the range. I warm up with shot maintenance and finish up with chipping and putting. I rotate my wedges, woods and irons between the four days. On a Saturday, I play a round with my dad at the golf school at Serengeti – Morning Glories. On Sundays, it’s a juggle between US Kids tournaments, provincial golf at Ekurhuleni and SA Kids tournaments.

Balance between the school and the fairways? My mom makes sure that I do all my school and homework every day, before I hit the range. Education is very important and needs to come first.
Goals for your golfing career? I want to be the number one amateur golfer in SA before going to the US to play university golf at a category one university.
Ever met a famous golfer? Yes, I have met Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
What other sport do you like to play besides golf? Putt-Putt… he laughs.
What is your favourite thing to do when you are not on the course? Watch professional golf on TV and play on our putting green.
Favourite movie? The Fast and Furious franchise.
What is your motto? Stay humble on and off the course. Always play to the glory of God.
What is your advice to other junior golfers? Practice hard and never give up.
