How old were you when you started playing golf:

I was one-and-a-half-years old when I first started playing.

Who inspired your interest in the game:

My Dad.

Your golf idol?

Tiger Woods.

Favourite course ever played?

Serengeti Golf Course.

A funny moment you won’t forget?

When I was three-years old I was playing with my mom at Serengeti, when I hit the ball on the fringe of the green and chipped it in. This was so exciting, it was the first time I ever chipped in the ball from the fringe.

How often do you practice and what’s your practice routine?

I practice every single day. During summer, my practice routine is as follows: first hit balls for two hours. Then I chip for an hour and then putt for another hour.

Balance between the school and the fairways?

When we get home, we have lunch, change and finish all of my homework. School is very important and must come first.

Goals for your golfing career?

My goals are to never shoot over Par and never be mean to other people, even when I win.

Ever met a famous golfer?

I have met Brandon Stone – he came to meet me at my school before I went to play the European Championships in Scotland, in 2019. When I was in America in 2019, competing in the US Kids World Championship, I was lucky to meet Brandon Grace. I have also met Jaco Ahlers and Vaughn Groenewald, who played on the Sunshine Tour. I have also met Ernie Els.

What other sport do you like to play besides golf?

I really like playing rugby.

What is your favourite thing to do when you are not on the course?

I like to practice my chipping on the grass – my dad made a hole in the ground for me, during lockdown.

Favourite movie?

My favourite movie is, The Short Game.

What is your motto?

Believe in yourself.

What is your advice to other junior golfers?

Never give up, even if you can’t get it right, keep on trying.
